"Dispelling Myths about Grad School in Engineering"

UBC joins forces with University of Alberta, McGill University, University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo to dispel myths about graduate studies in engineering. Learn about the need for engineers with postgraduate training and the opportunities available to you.

A panel will discuss the top myths:
MYTH 1: Engineers with PhDs can't get jobs in industry.
MYTH 2: Grad school is a bad financial decision.
MYTH 3: Only geniuses go to grad school.
MYTH 4: Grad school is just more of the same. I'm done with school.

University representatives available from 4:00pm and during the reception
Panel discussion 5:00-6:30pm
Wine & Cheese reception 6:30-8:00pm (RSVP requested)

Hope to see you there,
